Water, food, sleep and music. I need these things to survive. When I say I need them, I actually mean it. The obvious things are that if we don’t eat, sleep or drink, we will get sick and die.
Well, if we don’t listen to music and dance, I think the same thing could happen.
Don’t laugh at me. I’m serious.
Life is not always going to be perfect. Depression, stress, fatigue and anger, are all things that we feel, deal with and go through on a daily basis. If you’re trying to live a decent life and are working on being a decent person – you need something to help you get through each day.
Music and dancing are one way to relieve some of these things from our minds. I’m not saying that it goes away, but music helps you deal with it better.
At work I need music. I need to listen to my jam, whether it’s from the 80’s, 90’s or any era. As long as I like it – let it play. I create better. I’m happier when I’m dancing and singing. It’s the best time to create hair art.
I can’t imagine my life without music. I also believe that even though there is lots of music around in our lives, there still not enough of it.
It needs to be in more businesses, public transportation, buildings and it needs to be strategically chosen, to suit the type of business and atmosphere you want to create.
It promotes sales by creating an ambiance – something your guests feel without you having to say a word. I think it makes up minimum 50 percent of your business’s chance to survive. Yes. 50 percent.
Got your attention now?
Music makes up half of the experience that you’re trying to achieve. If it’s not right, it will damage the mood and over time bring it down.
The emotion that music sparks is huge. People need it. They want it. It’s like a drug.
So I highly suggest you really think about what vibe you are trying to create in your space. Make it a popular one – one that will appeal to your target market and guest.
Do a survey if you don’t believe me. Then you will realize just how important it is.
Now I have to get to work, work, work. RiRi gets it right every time.
Live free or dye.
