The hairdresser works hard. Very hard.

We give all day.

Not just our talent of the craft, we have to service our guests and converse with them.

We have to give them our ears and heart.

They want to share their lives with us. Things that are very deep and personal to them and other times things that are just about life in general and very light.

No matter what, if we establish a loyal guest to artist relationship, we need to be there for them.

Between giving our talent as artists and giving of ourselves as people, at the end of the day we are spent. We usually don’t get enough time to rest, or eat and drink properly. We do this 5 days a week and the busy stylists, I’m sure do more than 8 hours a day. We work weekends and holidays, mornings and evenings. It’s a mental challenge, as well as a physical one, standing all day on our feet.

I did this post to celebrate the artist behind the style.

Hairdressers are a group of artists that are very special to me. I love my fellow hairdressers and our guests love us too. Let’s celebrate each other’s successes and achievements. Please share these pictures and stories. We deserve it.

You only get one life. Live it. Love it.

There is a little bit of a rebel in all of us.
