Have you ever heard the saying:
You should never talk about religion or politics, because you never know who you’re going to offend.
A big part of the barber shop and hair salon culture is socializing with clients.
We talk about hair and fashion that is a given but it goes deeper than that – we talk about family, relationships, careers and what is happening in the world. So it’s kind of hard to avoid talking about the American election – because it is such a hot topic.
Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton? Everyone has an opinion of who should be the next President of the United States.
The way I see it is – everyone is entitled to their opinion – whether I personally agree with it or not.
If I want to knock a story off the front page, I just change my hairstyle.
I love my industry.
Your hairstyle says a lot about who you are to the world. It’s such a big part of your appearance.
Think about it. When celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber or Lionel Messi change their hair – it becomes a headline. It proves that people are fascinated by beauty and appearance.
Hair has worked its way into this election. I think you know what I’m talking about.
The Comb Over
When the hair is grown long and combed over, to downplay signs of baldness.
Google Donald Trump and comb over, you’ll get about 683,000 results in 0.34 seconds.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know what his hair looks like, so I don’t have to post a picture.
But wait. The comb over can be cool.
No. I’m not crazy.
Comb over hairstyles are popular – because it is such a classic look. But it has to be cut and styled right.
Comb Over Fade
The hair is longer on top and combed over into a side part. You can even slick it back too – depending on what look you’re going for. The hair on the back and sides is short with a smooth fade transition.
So guys the next time you’re at the shop – try this look out. There are so many variations – do it right and find one that looks good on you.
Life is too short to have boring hair.
You only get one life – live it.
