Everyone has their dream of a perfect life.
Mine is having the people that mean the most to me be happy and healthy. And, waking up every morning to the sunshine and beach – being able to do whatever I want.
No worries.
Now let’s get back to reality.
Ottawa is known for snow not beaches. It’s April and there is still snow on the ground.
I’m a father and businessman. I have a lot of responsibilities, commitments and a whole bunch of people that depend on me.
I have two shops to run – one with my partner Dawn, I have my team, clients….the list goes on.
And, just like everyone else – I have to deal with problems and stresses. Sometimes they are spread out – sometimes they come all at once.
Finding a balance.
You can’t run from your responsibilities or your problems. We all have bills – most of us have to work to pay them. Unless you win the lottery and money isn’t an issue.
My life hasn’t been easy – I have worked hard and hustled for everything I have. Nothing was given to me.
But – we all have a story.
What I have learned is that life is all about finding the right balance.
I have found things outside my career that I am passionate about – things that make me happy and feel good.
I love football, running and spending time at the gym.
The blog is my creative outlet – my voice – it gives me so much satisfaction.
In life you have to take the good with the bad.
My advice to you is find an outlet – music, painting, running, cooking, writing – anything that you are passionate about.
Find what makes you happy and do it.
I like to think that I am a nice guy. I love my family and will do anything for them. I try to always be there for my friends and my team – whether it’s supporting their career, business, a fundraiser they are having – basically doing whatever I can to help them out.
That is why I am so grateful, when people do the same for me.
So, I just want to take a moment to say thank you.
Thank you to all those who read and support my blog. It means a lot to me.
When I see people sharing my blog posts – it gives me such a great feeling – just knowing they connected with something I wrote. It’s awesome.
I look forward to sharing more with you in the weeks and months to come.
So stay tuned.
